Following the decision of the United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs (UN-CND) to remove cannabis from Schedule IV of the 1961 Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs (the “Convention”), the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) would like to enlighten the public on its limited implications to our drug control policies and actions.

To suppress the emerging trend of drug trafficking in the country using online door-to-door delivery services and applications, The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) signed Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Lalamove Philippines, Incorporated and Lala App Philippines, Incorporated.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) today (Thursday, October 15, 2020) destroyed Six Billion Two Hundred Forty-Five Million Seven Hundred Sixty One Thousand Five Hundred Forty-Seven and 81/100 (Php 6,245,761,547.81) worth of dangerous drugs at the Integrated Waste Management, Inc. in Barangay Aguado, Trece Martires City, Cavite.
