PDEA CREATES OWN DETENTION FACILITY MANUAL, IN COOPERATION WITH BJMP
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), with the assistance of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), has recently created its own handbook of the implementing guidelines on custodial handling and management of inmates, or simply referred to as the Detention Facility Manual.
“The PDEA Detention Facility Manual encompasses the basic rules and procedures every PDEA custodial officer must know and understand with regard to humane safekeeping, security and control of individuals who were arrested and temporarily held at our detention facilities for drug-related offenses,” said PDEA Director General Undersecretary Arturo G. Cacdac, Jr.

PDEA REWARDS ALMOST P3 MILLION TO 5 INFORMANTS
Five civilian informants received an early Christmas gift from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) by providing information that led to the arrest of local and foreign drug personalities, and the dismantling of small and large scale clandestine laboratories used in the manufacture of illegal drugs.
PDEA Director General Undersecretary Arturo G. Cacdac Jr. said that through Operation: Private Eye (OPE), the informants were personally handed over a total cash reward of P2,998,358.25 during the Monday Flag Raising on December 15, 2014 at the PDEA National Headquarters in Quezon City.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) has vowed to make its presence felt by the Filipino people through an intensified fight against illegal drugs and raise the level of anti-drug operations a notch higher. PDEA Director General Undersecretary Arturo G. Cacdac, Jr. stressed this during the PDEA 12th Anniversary Celebration on July 30, 2014, Wednesday, at the PDEA National Headquarters in Quezon City
“The PDEA, with its 1,619 strong operatives, administrative and technical personnel, will continue to perform its mandate with equal fervor and intensity to keep our communities safe from the evil clutches of dangerous drugs,” Cacdac said, taking cue from the anniversary theme, “Pinag-Ibayong Laban Kontra Droga”.
