PDEA REWARDS P776,475.48 TO SEVEN CIVILIAN INFORMANTS
Seven civilian informants received a total of P776,475.48 in cash rewards from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) during its regular Monday flag-raising ceremony on December 14, 2015 at the PDEA National Headquarters in Quezon City.
PDEA Director General Undersecretary Arturo G. Cacdac, Jr. commended the informants identified through their codenames: Maria Clara, Bruno, Asiong, Danger, Harvard, Black Mamba and Caltex, for providing anti-drug information that led to the seizure of illegal drugs and the arrest of drug personalities under the PDEA Operation: Private Eye.
PDEA DESTROYS P354.87 MILLION WORTH OF ILLEGAL DRUGS IN CAVITE
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 destroyed a total of P354.87 million worth of dangerous drugs in Cavite.
Destroyed through thermal decomposition were a total of 92,059.1130 grams (92.059 kilograms) of assorted pieces of drug evidence composed of methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu, cocaine, marijuana, ephedrine, ecstasy, methylphenidate hydrochloride or ritalin, dormicum or midazolam, rivotril or clonazepam, lorazepam or ativan, alprazolam or aloram, diazepam or valium and expired medicines.

There is a need to address the involvement of young people in illegal drug activities, including drug use and distribution. It is imperative that every community must be self-policing and self-reliant against dangerous drugs.
This was stressed by Undersecretary Arturo G. Cacdac, Jr, Director General of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), during the formal launching of “Dislike Drugs Campaign”, a joint anti-drug advocacy project between PDEA and the Office of Congressman Jorge “Bolet” Banal, Representative of the 3rd District of Quezon City, held on December 1, 2015 at Quirino High School, Callejon Street, Project 3, Quezon City.
AIRPORT-IADITG CREATED TO ADDRESS DRUG SMUGGLING; MEMBER-AGENCIES SIGN MOA
To efficiently synchronize anti-illegal drug efforts in airports, an Airport Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (Airport-IADITG) is hereby created for all airports under the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) control and jurisdiction. The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) shall lead the task group.
This is contained in the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signed on September 14, 2015 by PDEA Director General Undersecretary Arturo G. Cacdac, Jr., and Lieutenant General William Hotchkiss III, CAAP Director General, together with seven other government instrumentalities and their representatives from the Office for Transportation Security (OTS); Bureau of Customs (BoC); Bureau of Immigration (BI); Department of Justice-National Prosecution Service (DOJ-NPS); National Bureau of Investigation (NBI); and the Philippine National Police (PNP) Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Force; and the PNP Aviation Security Group.
