PDEA UNVEILS ITS NEWLY-RENOVATED COMPLIANCE SERVICE OFFICE
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Compliance Service (CS) unveiled its newly-refurbished office on Friday, March 18, 2016.
Undersecretary Arturo G. Cacdac, Jr., Director General of PDEA led the blessing of the renovated office at the PDEA National Headquarters in Quezon City. The ceremony was witnessed by officials from PDEA and Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) and stakeholders from pharmaceutical and chemical associations of the Philippines.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) gave recognition to three PDEA Regional Offices, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-National Capital Region Police Office (CIDG-NCRPO), CIDG-Anti-Transnational Crime Division (ATU), Southern Police District (SPD), Quezon City Police District (QCPD), Manila Police District (MPD) and Lipa City Police Station, for their significant anti-drug operations.
PDEA Director General Undersecretary Arturo G. Cacdac, Jr. personally presented the plaque of recognition and awards during the agency’s flag-raising ceremony on March 14, 2016 at the PDEA National Headquarters in Quezon City.

P2.67 BILLION WORTH OF ILLEGAL DRUGS DESTROYED BY PDEA
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) destroyed P2.67 billion worth of dangerous drugs today (Thursday), February 11, 2016, at the Integrated Waste Management, Inc. (IWMI), Barangay Aguado, Trece Martirez City, Cavite.
Destroyed through thermal decomposition were a total of 1,677,021.07 grams, or 1.6 metric tons of assorted pieces of drug evidence composed of methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu, liquid shabu, ketamine, marijuana, ephedrine, aziridine, norephedrine, pseudoephedrine, and expired medicines.
Thermal decomposition is the process by which various compounds are broken down into single units by the application of heat wherein reconstruction of the substances is impossible.

USDEA DONATE VEHICLES TO PDEA BOOSTS ANTI-DRUG CAPABILITY
The United States Drug Enforcement Agency (USDEA), together with the United States Embassy to the Philippines, donated vehicles to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) – Ninoy Aquino International Airport Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (NAIA-IADITG) to support the country’s fight against illegal drugs.
The turn-over and signing of deeds of donation was held at the PDEA National Headquarters in Quezon City, on December 14, 2015. Present during the ceremony were PDEA Director General Undersecretary Arturo G. Cacdac Jr., Deputy Chief Mission Mr. Michael S. Klecheski from the Embassy of the United States of America; Mark O. Juvrud, USDEA Country Attache; and Director Tom Hammang of the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) of the United States Embassy to the Philippines.
