The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) is warning the public against money transfer using the name of the Agency to collect money for clearance purposes.
PDEA Director General Isidro S. Lapeña issued the public advisory amid a report about spurious electronic mails allegedly originating from Lapeña himself asking for a sum of P14,900 in exchange for anti-drug clearance fee.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) has outlined the guidelines in the implementation of barangay drug clearing program to curb the proliferation of illegal drugs in communities and promote involvement of local barangays in the suppression of drug trafficking and abuse.
“Barangays, as the first line of defense, should be tapped as force multipliers of the national anti-drug campaign at the grassroots level. An integrated approach to emerge victorious in the war on drugs is to rid illegal drugs barangay by barangay,” said PDEA Director General Isidro S. Lapeña.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) is strengthening its organizational structure and staffing pattern to boost its readiness in the gargantuan war on drugs in the country.
PDEA Director General Isidro S. Lapeña said that a newly-approved Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) Resolution has created an additional 1,280 regular plantilla positions of PDEA personnel and led to the adoption of necessary modifications in the organizational set-up of the Agency, particularly in the field of intelligence and investigation.
