Three drug personalities were arrested in the three buy-bust operations conducted by elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on February 27, 2017 in Tacloban City and Maasin that also resulted in the seizure of methamphetamine hydrochloride, popularly known as shabu.

PDEA ARRESTS PUSHER IN CAMARINES NORTE BUY-BUST

Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested a pusher during an entrapment operation in Camarines Norte on February 26, 2017.
PDEA Director General Isidro S. Lapeña identified the suspect as Mark Anthony Evia y Solo aka Mac, 23 years old, single, jobless, and a resident of Guinobatan, Albay.

A suspected big-time female pusher was arrested by operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) during a buy-bust operation inside a shopping mall in Taguig City on February 25, 2017.
PDEA Director General Isidro S. Lapeña identified the suspect as Gladys V. Ortega, 43 years old, a widow and a resident of Mabini Street, West Rembo, Makati City.

PDEA, AFP VOW TO KEEP THE COUNTRY DRUG-FREE AND SAFE

Two of the nation’s bastions of law enforcement and peace, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) that sealed their cooperation to keep the citizenry safe and free from illegal drugs.
The MOA signing was held on February 28, 2017 at the AFP General Headquarters in Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City. The main signatories were PDEA Director General Isidro S. Lapeña and AFP Chief of Staff, General Eduardo M. Año. The event was witnessed by PDEA and AFP key officials.
