An alleged big-time drug pusher was killed during the implementation of a search warrant that resulted in the seizure of Php660,000.00 worth of shabu in Davao del Norte on May 8, 2018.

Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Director General Aaron N. Aquino identified the drug personality as Jay-ar Abayon Tulod who fired his caliber .38 revolver at the operatives who implemented the search warrant in Purok 16, Barangay Madaum, Tagum City, Davao del Norte. The operatives returned fire resulting to Tulod’s death.

Aquino said joint operatives of PDEA Regional Office XI (PDEA RO XI) under the supervision of Director Antonio E. Rivera, Police Regional Office 11-Drug Enforcement Unit (PRO 1-DEU), Davao del Norte Police Provincial Office-Provincial Intelligence Branch (DDNPPO-PIB), Davao del Norte Police Provincial Office-Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (DDNPPO-PDEU), Davao del Norte Provincial Mobile Force Company (DNPMFC), Davao del Norte Criminal Investigation and Detection Team (CNCIDT) and local police conducted the search operation.  

Recovered by the operatives were suspected shabu, weighing more or less 55 grams, with an estimated value of Php660,000.00, several pieces of drug paraphernalia and caliber .38 revolver with live ammunition.
