A suspected drug den was dismantled by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) during a buy-bust operation in Cagayan de Oro City on March 19, 2017.
PDEA Director General Isidro S. Lapeña said that the illegal facility is maintained by Zubair Guro Pampa, alias Boborge, 20 years old, a resident of Marawi City, Lanao del Sur
At about 9:00 in the evening, operatives of PDEA Regional Office 10 (PDEA RO10) under Director Adrian Alvariño conducted an entrapment operation that led to the arrest of Pampa inside a room that he utilized as a drug den in Vines Inn, Yacapin Extension, Cagayan de Oro City.
Seized during the operation were nine plastic sachets containing suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu, weighing approximately 241.1408 grams worth P1,800,000 and assorted drug paraphernalia.
Also arrested were Pampa’s brother Mohaimen, 18; Najola Minalang, 18; Khaleem Macatangcop,18, all from Marawi City; Jaffar Naga, 19; and Mirafin Libot, 21, both residents of Cagayan de Oro City, who were present inside the den when the operation was conducted.
Pampa will be charged for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Section 6 (Maintenance of a Drug Den), Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 12 (Possession of Drug Paraphernalia), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, while the others will face charges for violation of Section 7 (Visitors of a Drug Den).
