Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) dismantled a house where methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu, is sold and used during the implementation of a search warrant in San Fernando City, Pampanga on March 3, 2017.

PDEA Director General Isidro Lapeña said that the residence doubling as a drug den in Lot 24, Block 43, Phase 1 Northville, Brgy. Calulut, San Fernando City, Pampanga is owned and maintained by Ligorio C. Cuano, 26 years old.

At around 3:30 in the afternoon, anti-narcotics operatives of PDEA Regional Office 3 (PDEA RO3) under Director Juvenal B. Azurin conducted lawful search on Cuano’s house which resulted in his arrest.

Also arrested were suspected customers of the den Jenalyn M. Morales, 34; Ronne M. Pangilinan, 36; Clarissa C. Gaza, 20; Clelovon A. Comomo, 28; and a 17-year old minor, who were present inside when the operation was conducted.  All suspects were caught in the act of having pot session and did not resist arrest. All are residents of Barangay Calulut, San Fernando City, Pampanga.

Confiscated inside were one piece of heat sealed transparent plastic  sachet containing suspected shabu, weighing more or less 25 grams, with an estimated street value of P120,000 and assorted drug paraphernalia.

The suspected drug den can accommodate 30 customers everyday and earn an estimated income of P10,000 daily.

Cuano will be charged for violation of Section 6 (Maintenance of a Drug Den), Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 12 (Possession of Drug Paraphernalia), Article II, of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The other four drug suspects will face charges for violation of Section 7 (Visitors of a Drug Den), of the anti-drug law. The 17-year minor was turned-over to the San Fernando City, Pampanga Social Welfare and Development Office for documentation and custody.
