The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) welcomes Retired Major General Diosdado Caramat Carreon, AFP, as its new Deputy Director General for Administration (DDGA).

Carreon was appointed to the post on September 1, 2021.

The incoming DDGA is a member of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) “Hinirang” Class of 1987. He had a long, colorful and distinguished career as a decorated military officer. He held major positions, most noteworthy of these were: Commander, 40th Infantry Battalion; Force Commander, Special Intelligence Force, ISAFP; Commanding Officer of joint Task Force Gensan; Commander, 601st Infantry Brigade; and Commander, 6th Infantry Division, Philippine Army (PA).

Carreon is a welcome addition to the PDEA family. He brings with him a wealth of 37 years of military experience in the realms of administration, operations and intelligence while embodying ideals of steadfast professionalism, excellent executive ability, and gentle leadership.

Carreon formally assumed the position from Outgoing Officer-In-Charge, Office of the Deputy Director General for Administration (ODDGA) Director III Randy R. Pedroso.
