Php816 thousand worth of shabu seized

 A couple was arrested during the implementation of a search warrant in Bacolod City on September 3, 2019 that also resulted in the seizure of methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu, worth Php816,000.00.    

Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Director General Aaron N. Aquino identified the suspects as Randy Hamantoc y Trinidad, 37 years old, and her wife, Rogelina Hamantoc y Guarino, 32, who were arrested at around 7:30 AM by elements of PDEA Regional Office VI (PDEA RO VI) under the supervision of the Officer-in-Charge, IAV Alex M. Tablate in Lot 69, Block 25, Gold Crest Subdivision, Barangay Bata, Bacolod City Negros Occidental.  

Confiscated during the operation were four pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu weighing more or less 120 grams, with an estimated value of Php816,000.00, and one black gray belt bag.

The suspects will be charged for violation of Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
