One hundred seven million and four hundred eighty million pesos worth of marijuana meters were eradicated by combined elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Philippine National Police (PNP), and Philippine Army (PA) on July 29 to 31, 2016.
PDEA Director General Isidro S. Lapeña said that agents of PDEA Regional Office-Cordillera Administrative Region (PDEA RO-CAR) under Director Juvenal Azurin, in collaboration with operatives of Tinglayan Municipal Police Station, Kalinga Provincial Police Office, Kalinga Regional Public Safety Battalion, Provincial Public Safety Company-Kalinga, Pasil Municipal Police Station and 50 Infantry Battalion, Philippine Army conducted marijuana eradication operations at Kasablutan and Mt. Chumanchill, Brgy. Loccong, Tinglayan, Kalinga.
Destroyed on-site during the operations were 537,400 pieces of full-grown marijuana plants. No cultivator was arrested during the operations.
