PR1342016The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Compliance Service (CS) unveiled its newly-refurbished office on Friday, March 18, 2016.

Undersecretary Arturo G. Cacdac, Jr., Director General of PDEA led the blessing of the renovated office at the PDEA National Headquarters in Quezon City. The ceremony was witnessed by officials from PDEA and Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) and stakeholders from pharmaceutical and chemical associations of the Philippines.

 The PDEA Compliance Service under Director Helen Maita Reyes acts as the agency’s regulatory body responsible in the processing and issuance of permits and licenses to industry partners, medical practitioners, pharmaceutical companies, suppliers and retailers engaged in the importation, distribution, manufacture, prescription, dispensing and selling controlled precursors and essential chemicals.

  “The renovation is in conformity with the quality management principles of ISO 9001:2008, CS being one of the frontline services of the agency,” Cacdac said.

PDEA, since March 18, 2015, is a proud recipient of ISO certification that reinforces quality management of resources, the orderly, stable structure and documentation of systems and processes for continual improvement to ensure optimum client satisfaction.

During the ceremony, Engineers Ramon Devanadera, Arturo Gonzales and Ronnel Martin of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Quezon City were cited for their invaluable assistance in making the CS office renovation project a reality.

“We are doing every possible innovation, all the more renovation to render better public service. We strive to be more efficient in serving our CS clients because their comfort and convenience remains a priority,” Cacdac said, adding that this is a testament of PDEA’s commitment to service excellence.
