PDEA BICOL TIGHTENS DRUG PIPELINE, WOMAN FINANCIER ARRESTED

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Bicol (PDEA ROV Bicol) recently arrested in flagrante delicto a member of an infant drug ring from Sorsogon Province plying her nefarious illegal drug trade in Legazpi City

Combined elements of PDEA Albay Provincial Office led by IA I Vidal DCBacolod, Sorsogon Provincial Office led by SO2 Cristopher P Viaña and Masbate Provincial Office led by IA I Fructuoso O Perlas under the over-all supervision of PDEA RO V Regional Director, Director III Archie Grande, CESE, conducted buy-bust operation on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at around 2230H (1030pm) at Brgy 23 Imperial Court Subdivision, Legazpi City resulting to the arrest of Hannah Monette Ferrer y Gomez aka Monette, 35 years old, married and a resident of 11th Road, Our Lady’s Village, Bibincahan, Sorsogon City, while another suspect, Michael Dipad aka Mike Dipad, a former public school teacher in DepEd Sorsogon, eluded arrest despite diligent efforts of PDEA Operatives, where a collective weight of 145.5362 grams of shabu were recorded from the suspects and cases for violation of Article II, Section 5 and 11 in relation to Section 26b, of RA 9165 were filed against the said suspects. PDEA will be closely waiting for the issuance of a warrant of arrest against Michael Dipad, aka “Mike Dipad” that he may feel the consequences of his nefarious activities.

“The arrest was a result of our sustained and intensified anti-drug campaign against the high-value target drug personalities especially drug financiers in Bicol Region. In fact, patience, discreet sleuthing and hard work of our drug operatives contribute largely to this successful anti-drug operations. Thus, with this latest arrest, this will put a grip to tighten the drug pipeline in our region.” Director Grande said.
