Change has come. The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) welcomes its 5th Director General.
He graduated in the Philippine Military Academy as proud member of Maagap Class of 1973. From being a Junior Officer in the Philippine Constabulary in 1973, he eventually climbed the professional ladder in the Philippine National Police (PNP) as the Deputy Director General for Operations before he retired from the service in 2007.
His 34 years in government service is a testimony of his commitment to excellence. He is a highly decorated gentleman who received 65 police and military medals including the Gold Cross Medal and the Medalya ng Katapangan for gallantry in action. Aside from the numerous plaques of recognitions and commendations he received for his distinguished leadership in the service, he is also a recipient of Dangal ng PNP Award.
His commitment to excellence transcends to the units and offices he had led that earned the distinction for being the best units under his leadership: the 456th Police Constabulary Coy (1979); the Cotabato METRODISCOM (1992); and the Davao City Police Office (1997).
He is a seasoned officer and a public servant whose expertise in his chosen field is a product of local and international trainings. His foreign trainings include specialized courses conducted in Cranfield University in England; Fort Bragg, North Carolina and Fort Eustis, Virgina, both in the United States of America. He also attended the Major Case Management Course conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Quantico Virginia, USA.
He has a Masters Degree in Public Administration and a Doctor of Philosophy in Criminology.
